About Us

Rocky (left) was born and raised in Marin County. His grandparents found their way to Mill Valley, California in 1920 and his family has been in the area ever since which is for over 100 years now. Rocky knows the Bay Area like the back of his hand. As a young man, Rocky worked for various local moving companies. By the early 1990's, he had a couple young kids and was ready to work for himself so he started Rocky's Moving with the help of his wife, Dianne. That was in 1991. Thirty five years later his son, Michael (right), has joined the family business as the primary estimator and they operate the business together now. We are proud to be a family owned and operated business in Novato, California. We help relocate households & businesses all over California and we love what we do. We have recently expanded our service offerings to include a-la-carte packing and unpacking services, junk removal services or "dump runs", home staging assistance, furniture moving for remodeling as well as furniture assembly or disassembly.
